♦ FREE STUFF
Swatch Like you Mean It– Enter to win in the Ravelry thread — Comment on the board and tell us your thoughts on swatching – do you love it? do you hate it? do you do it? We will close the thread before we record again in 2 weeks (which is April 30th) and do a random number generator to choose 2 winners. (You must be a member of the Ravelry group to enter and one entry/comment per person)
Camp Aloha Friends– Email us your “essay” — It does not have to be a long one, we just want you to go to Mel’s site and look at all Camp Aloha Friends has to offer. If you are up for it, then email us your thoughts on the camp and why you would like to “go.” The camp starts June 15th, so we will close the entry-time the first time we record in June (which should be June 11th). Again, one entry per person and you must be a member of the Ravelry group.
Ann – 3 hexis
(I weighed the leftovers from the 5 gms I started with and it was 2 gms left.)
♦ Round and Round
I finished my Finn that I was spinning and I have started the “light brown wool” that I am going to ply with it. The Finn got lighter and more blue as I got farther into the bump, so the bobbin looks mostly blue. It will be interesting to see how the final yarn turns out!
I started on a new batt from Nunoco – Hummingbird I am spinning it on my Neal Brand spindle that I won at the Carolina Fiber Frolic I will also use some DazzlingDragonfly spindles when that one gets full.
I need some backup from non spinners
Merino wool, silk, silk noil and mohair locks bought from Kristen Nicholas of Tangled Up in Wool
